On Dealing with the Past, Transitional Justice and Archives

This paper explores the ways in which Southeast European nations deal with a difficult time in their histories, particularly with regard to archives and documentation of atrocities and sufferings. It also discusses the shift from war to peace in Balkan countries affected by the 1991–1999 wars as those countries are still struggling to deal with the past and its consequences.
