Inside the Raslan Trial: You cannot imagine such things

SJAC’s 46th trial monitoring report details days 92 & 93 of the trial of Anwar Raslan in Koblenz. On the first day, a Syrian doctor testified about his detention at Al-Khatib Branch, as well as the general psychological and social consequences of detention. On the second day, the Court heard from a doctor who treated detainees in the basement of the Branch and at a nearby hospital. He mentioned the volume of corpses that were sent to the hospital from the Branch. The defense requested to hear additional witnesses, and plaintiff counsels advocated for the inclusion of enforced disappearances to the indictment as a crime against humanity.
