SJAC’s 37th trial monitoring report details days 75 & 76 of the trial of Anwar Raslan in Koblenz. On the first day the court heard a plaintiff’s testimony. The 34-year-old Syrian described detention conditions and torture he and his brothers were subjected to during their detention in Al-Khatib Branch. His family identified his brother-in-law amongst the Caesar Files. On the second day, a former Syrian athlete identified Raslan as head of investigations at Al-Khatib Branch. The witness added that Raslan had more power than Syrian ministers, as he was working for the intelligence services which actually rule Syria.
