Update: SJAC Resume Programs Suspended by U.S. Aid Freeze
On January 24th, 2025, SJAC announced that a stop-work order issued by the Department of State had suspended many of our programs in Syria and around the world.
We are grateful for the immediate support we received from donors in the aftermath of this announcement. Your support helped our team sustain basic operations and find new avenues to restart suspended programs. While SJAC’s funding situation remains precarious, we have made progress to ensure our core programs will continue.
While SJAC is still seeking funding to bring the team back to full operations, we are thankful to be able to continue our mission during this historic moment.
