The Contemporary Right to Property Restitution in the Context of Transitional Justice
This report focuses on the development of property restitution and the practice of international law in order to recommend solutions for transitional justice processes. The report analyzes case studies from South Africa, the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Guatemala to see how restitution and reparations played a role in helping victims of human rights violations seek justice. Conclusions emphasize restitution as an essential component of transitional justice processes.
