Statute of the International Criminal Tribunal of the Former Yugoslavia

This website contains the Statute of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. The Statute was adopted by the UN Security Council in 1993 in response to continuing reports of widespread violations of humanitarian law in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. The tribunal was established for the prosecution of persons responsible for serious violations of international humanitarian law, and the most recent version of the statute is from 2009.
