Inside the Raslan Trial: Was it him or not?

SJAC’s 26th trial monitoring report details day 59 of the trial of Anwar Raslan and Eyad Al Gharib. A BKA inspector testified about an interview with a witness who refused to appear in court. Raslan’s defense questioned the level of certainty with which the witness identified Raslan as his interrogator. According to the inspector, the witness recognized Raslan’s voice on a radio interview, searched for him on social media, and identified him as his interrogator in Al-Khatib. Al-Gharib’s defense requested to read more parts of Al-Gharib’s asylum-seeking interview to clarify that he did not want to be transferred to “mafiosi-like” Division 40.
