Inside the Raslan Trial: Eyewitness Declares 90% Certainty That Raslan Beat Him

SJAC’s 19th trial monitoring report details days 46 and 47 of the trial of Anwar Raslan and Eyad Al-Gharib in Koblenz. A man who was detained in Al-Khatib described being taken to the hospital for an injury and how most detainees did not receive real medical treatment. Two sketches map out the detainee’s cell and the interrogator’s office. The witness recognized Raslan’s photo during French and German police questioning and identified Raslan in the courtroom as the interrogator in Al-Khatib. But the witness had difficulties recalling many details and his original identification of Raslan was brought into doubt.
