Inside the Raslan Trial: “Even Anwar Raslan was a victim.”

SJAC’s 35th trial monitoring report details day 72 of the trial of Anwar Raslan in Koblenz, Germany. The witness was Fayez Sarah, a 70-year-old Syrian journalist, author, and politician who resides in London. As a member of the opposition since the 1970s, he received relatively better treatment than others detained after 2011. He attributed this to his old age and large file with the intelligence services. After his release, Fayez Sarah found out that his last interrogation at Branch 251 was conducted by Anwar Raslan, with whom he had mutual connections.
