Inside the Raslan Trial: Al-Gharib’s arrest ends at a health clinic

SJAC’s eleventh trial monitoring report details days 28 and 29 of the trial of Anwar Raslan and Eyad Al-Gharib in Koblenz, Germany. During the proceedings, the court heard testimony from four members of the German Federal Police Office. They detailed the distressed defendant’s first moments in custody and the turn of events which led to proceedings in a health clinic. Reports from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and others were read out in court.
