Al Jazeera’s Priyanka Gupta speaks to Syrian refugees about their experiences of torture and the work of activists attempting to hold the Syrian government and opposition accountable for their crimes.

Syria Justice and Accountability Centre (SJAC) Executive Director Mohammad Al Abdallah describes the fear that ending the Syria conflict will be prioritized over justice for victims of torture and arbitrary arrest. “When the biggest priority is wrapping up of the conflict and reaching a settlement there is a big fear that justice will be sacrificed,” says Al Abdallah.
