Inside the Raslan Trial: An interrogator’s job is to interrogate

SJAC’s 49th trial monitoring report details days 97 & 98 of the trial of Anwar Raslan in Koblenz. On the first day, the Court heard from a former Syrian military pilot who described how Raslan defected and helped Jordanian authorities to find a safer route for Syrians fleeing to Jordan. The Prosecutors also rejected several of the Defense’s request to hear additional witnesses. On the second day, the Court heard from a former employee of Branch 285 who said that Raslan worked at this branch right before his defection but had no real authority due to his position and being a Sunni.
